Yesterday, I received a new logo from professional artist, Chie Yasuda. She made this in record time, as I asked for in two days ago. I asked her for something that combines “geek” with “musician”, and this is what I got.
I asked for something that combines “geek” with “musician” because I am pretty much a geek+musician hybrid, and I expect this website to be a hub for my work in both music as well as technology (e.g. Music Blocks). I am also considering this direction, because I want my website to be a place where both musicians and technologists can find something that appeals to them.
This logo will now appear as the favicon of the website (on browser tabs) as well as in the video streaming. It will replace the headshot of myself that was being used as a placeholder.
I hope you enjoy the new look. Please let me know what you think in the comments below. I really do encourage feedback. I launched the website a little bit earlier than I originally planned, in part, because I thought that an earlier start would allow time for readers, friends, colleagues, and members to share their input and help guide the direction of my work. Thank you in advance for your feedback!
Also, if you are looking for a logo for yourself, I highly recommend working with Chie. She is fast, and can really find a way to express people’s character through art. You can see more of her work at www.chieyasuda.com
